YFC last night, supposedly to be held in the pub because the hall was
double booked, but I think the pub must have had a nasty case of the
black plague or something because despite checking
that morningthat everything was ok, there was a big sign outside saying closed due
to illness! The words, piss up, brewery and couldn't organise a
floated into my brain for some reason.........
So we all decamped to Dan's fucking huge house, where he proceeded to
hide everyone's left shoe after they took them off. Funny guy. I got
seized by another fit of "I want to join in"-itis and am now entering
the county 10 pin bowling (Ellie, Emily and I are going to be a team
and see if we can score the least points out of everyone!), taking
Alan's place on the Intermediate Brainstrust panel at the East
Midlands final in Skeg in March and for the Rally in May I'm on the
girl's tug of war team, cooking a three course meal with Emma and Pete
(mmm burnt and crunchy) and, and this is where I must have really gone
bonkers, doing a cheerleading routine. Yep, fucking cheerleading,
though if I'm going down the Sib's coming with me because I
volunteered her. Ha!
The cooking has to be on the theme of "At the movies". I think we
should serve liver with fava beans and a nice chianti.
Watching "A Clockwork Orange" in class today. Everyone I know loves it
at the same time as agreeing that it's twisted. I'm kind of worried
that if I hate it I'll be branded a narrow minded, prudish, philistine
and be forced to hand in my movie geek card or something!
In other news, I have a new fandom. The pilot of Supernatural got
shown over here on Monday, well Sunday really but my fucking digi-box
is knacking fuckered so I saw the repeat, YUM! Me likee and not just
'cos of the pretty though god knows I love me some pretty. The lack of
icon must be remedied forthwith.
